Most common problems on the Sync 3 can be recycling on the Ford logo , completely blank screen or locking up after a few minutes.

The new C Class W205 has a Mitsubishi head unit known as a HU Entry.
These have a smaller lcd display and the navigation data is on an sdcard in the armrest.
These units have started developing faults, most of the common faults are these units keep restarting or hanging on the logo.
Sometimes they can work for a few minutes and then restart again.
These new units are complicated and have alot of functions integrated.
Revtronic have seen alot of these units recently and are happy to say that we can successfully repair them. The mainboard will be inspected and better components will be replaced including any remedial work.

Got a Mercedes EZS for a Mercedes Vito W639.
Client complained that the key would not work and the car would not start. Even the spare key did not work.
Having the ezs and key on the table, a full inspection was done.
The key was ok as it was transmitting the correct data. The ezs was found to be faulty.
The ezs was repaired after finding a faulty circuit and a full key transmitter and start enabling test was done . The ezs and key were working perfectly.

Client brought a VW Polo MK5.
Client complained that the front wipers would not work. Actuating the wiper arm would do nothing.
Upon investigation we found that the output from the BCM was not sending the signal the wiper motor.
Part number fitted to the VW Polo was : 6C0 937 089D, BCM PQ26, made by Lear.
This BCM is fitted to : VW Polo Mk5 and Skoda Fabia MK3 (maybe other models)
The BCM was removed and diagnosed on the bench to check for wiper actuation. The fault was found and new parts were fitted to complete the function of the wiper circuit.
Reinstalled the BCM back into the car and the wipers worked nicely .

Got a VW Polo on a 2015.
Client complained that the MIB multimedia radio unit was going from a red to blue screen asking for an emergency update.
The car had been at the dealers and they were not able to fix the problem.
We managed to fix the problem and also updated the unit to the very latest software available for this unit.

If your old BMW MS45 ecu made by Siemens has failed then we can successfully recover the original data to transfer to a secondhand ECU.
All you have to do is to send the original and replacement ECU to us.
So long as the original ECU hasn’t had water ingress or any major damage we should be able to do it.
Got an Audi Q7 fitted with a Bose sound system and MMI 3G high.
The MMI was updated with software which updated the whole MMI units and also updated the amplifier which stopped working correctly as the fader was working the wrong way and the bass was not so effective.
There was no way to downgrade the MMI Bose amplifier as it already had a higher software version.
The coding was set to 000000, even trying to code it online was being rejected.
After spending alot of time a solution was found.
We managed to rectify the problem and get the system working perfectly.
We can now offer a recovery service , program and code your Bose amplifier to work exactly as it should .
Got a Mercedes A Class W176 that had new bi xenon headlamps fitted which replaced the standard halogen lamps.
Once fitted the front lights do not work and flicker continuously.
We managed to rewire the SAM and code the car to work with bixenom headlamps.

Faults can be :

Most modern Mercedes diesel cars have an adblue additive system that needs to get refilled after so many miles.
The indicator give a you sufficient warning to refill the adblue.
If you don’t get chance your remaining driving distance will be limited.
Eventually if you ignore it the car will not start.
We ensured that the adblue tank was topped up then we successfully reset the parameters and adapted the Mercedes adblue system to start the car again.
The actual remaining miles had expired , hence the car not starting.

Got a VW Golf 7 with various problems which were diagnosed as the central electrics module that had failed.
Client sourced second hand central electrics module that we fit and coded to the vehicle.
These units have component protection meaning that normally a second hand part cannot be used .
We were able to to adapt the component protection , parameterise the unit and code it.
The keys also needed to be synced as the original central electrics module held the key coding.
Mercedes Electronic Steering Lock Problem W204/W207/W212
Most Mercedes W204 C Class , W207 and W212 E Class can suffer from electronic steering lock problems such as :
- Ignition not turning on
- No display
- Instrument cluster not lighting
- Car does not start
- Steering lock does not release
- Mercedes Electronic Steering Lock Problem W204/W207/W212
- ESL faulty
Some fault codes can be :
- A22449 – The electronic ignition lock has a malfunction. There is an internal
- A25407 – The electric steering lock has a malfunction. There is a mechanical
- A25408 – The electric steering lock malfunction. There is a signal fault or the
message is faulty
- A25409 – The electric steering lock has a malfunction. There is a component
- A25464 – The electric steering lock has a malfunction. There is an implausible
If you notice that you have to insert the key a few times for the steering to unlock , or if you here a clicking noise from the column then this is probably a sign that your electronic steering lock (ESL) is probably going to fail.
If your electronic steering lock completely fails then we can repair/replace this at a fraction of the cost compared to the main dealers.
If the car has to go to the dealers then they need at least 5 days to order the parts and can be very expensive. They will also need to order a special programming key which can take another 3-5 days to arrive.
We have new improved parts in stock and car work on your car same day.
An improved part is used that is more reliable and does not have a mechanical mechanism inside that can fail.
We will be able to extract the data needed to code and program an improved electronic steering lock (ESL) as we have all the latest technology needed for these cars.
In fact most new Mercedes do not have electronic steering locks due to the unreliability of the mechanical locks.
We will need the car here at our workshop , however we may be able to help you if you can send the keys , electronic ignition switch (EIS) and electronic steering lock (ESL).
Why not ask for a spare replacement key ?
If you own a Mercedes ML W166 Adlue Engine Start Not Possible is written on the instrument cluster display then it means that you have driven past the safety start limit.
At this point the car will need to be towed to the dealers and alot of work needs to be done to program and reset this error.
If you have limited miles remaining , make sure you fill at least 20L of adblue which is readily available from most petrol stations then call us , bring the car to Revtronic and we will reset , relearn and program the adblue system back to normal.
Skoda Octavia ecu’s suffer from water ingress due to the ecu being located under the wiper arms.
If your car starts intermittently and the ecu has failed we can code and program this for you.
Buying a used ecu would be more economical , however this will contain the previous cars Information including the immobiliser data.
So long as your part number is the same and it’s from the same brand we can normally program, code and co figure the used ecu to work on your vehicle.
BMW 116i with flooded ecu , the water gutters were blocked causing the ecu housing to gather water eventually flooding and damaging the ecu.
Normally a new ecu or dme is required, we were able to code , program and match the keys so that the car would start without any additional work.
